Late one night I received an email from New York "we are getting married at Elements of Byron with 150 guests on Friday the 13th and would love to have you photograph our big day"... to say I jumped out of bed with delight is an understatement! A love story spanning 10 years and many continents with a romantic New York Central Park proposal, Nikki + Tom have the kind of love that makes you believe in 'soul mates'. It was an absolute privilege to spend this day under the beautiful Byron Bay sun.

You only have to spend five minutes with Nikki to know that she is one stylish babe. Equal parts classic elegance & New York style, with a touch of playfulness that you just saw in every little detail of this beautiful day. A villa at Elements of Byron is where Nikki spent the morning getting ready for her wedding day, surrounded by friends & family.

Old hollywood charm; that's the first thing I thought when I met Tom. It was immediately clear how these two lovebird souls found each other. In the hills of Byron, Tom & his groomsmen spent their morning at an airbnb fit for these stylish lads.

When I asked Nikki + Tom what was most important about their wedding day, the answer was so simple; family & friends. "We felt like we were married already" ~ so coming home to Australia was just about sharing moments with loved ones... such a beautiful sentiment. Under the bright, Byron Bay sun, Nikki + Tom made it official.

The white sand of the beach on the doorstep of Elements of Byron is undeniably glorious. We had the beach to ourselves & had a whole lot of fun together under a full moon.

We chased the last rays of light & it was beyond imagination... the spectrum of colours was so heavenly we tried to capture it as authentically as possible.

And then it was time to party! Again, Elements of Byron provided a wonderful venue for celebrations. Garlands of greenery filled the room & the joy in the air was infectious.
